Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) this morning opened competitive bids for a contract to construct a new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) at the Interstate 83 Exit 4 Interchange for Route 851 near Shrewsbury Borough in York County.
Four construction companies submitted bids ranging from $29.9 million to $40.4 million. The apparent low bidder is Kinsley Construction, Inc. of York, York County, with a bid of $29,867,900.
The following construction companies submitted bids. PennDOT will now review the bid materials from Kinsley Construction, Inc., the apparent low bidder, to verify the information that was submitted. If the information is complete and in order, the construction contract will be awarded to the company and a notice to proceed issued within the next six to eight weeks. PennDOT will issue a news release prior to the start of construction work.
